Workshops

By Jamie Panton Video Services

Video-making doesn’t have to be intimidating—it can be fast, fun, and ridiculously rewarding. That’s the ethos behind my workshops. Whether it’s at a youth club, university, or a top-tier organization, I focus on getting learners up and running quickly, armed with the skills to shoot and edit like pros.

The feedback speaks for itself: students have told me they’ve learned more in one week with me than in an entire term at university. And the only downside? They never want the sessions to end. My secret weapon? A deep love for film theory and history, which I weave into each session to inspire and excite.

“Jamie’s talent is incredible and is in so much in demand because of this. For me, he has impressed me most with his immense creativity, humility, passion and work ethic. He gives 100% to every project/job he works on. He is easy to work with and communicates with people at all levels.”

– Lucy Beddall, UWTSD/Creative Bubble.

“Your relaxed and easy to approach attitude along with your knowledge inspired young people to express themselves about how they felt living in their locality as ethnic minority. In only 4 days you managed to direct them and help them to produce a video which was amazing which can shape other people’s views towards them and others. Well done and I look forward to working with you again in the near future.”

– Shahab Miah, EYST

“The delivery of the project was one of the best we have been involved with yet. Jamie engaged the group instantly, sensitively approaching clients with a co-production emphasis. The speed at which the clients got stuck into creating and the technical side of production was outstanding, clients were fully engaged from the start and did not lose focus throughout the 4 days. This is testament to the engagement created by the project and value of the filmmaking and Jamie’s skills.

This created outcomes even higher than expected as I know clients will not only be impressed with the final film but immensely proud and also empowered to see their views and ideas presented so powerfully.”
